The 3Doodler was the world's first 3D printing pen. The 3Doodler allows you to create 3D objects by drawing off the paper and into the air.

The 3Doodler began as a Kickstarter project seeking $30,000. On March 24, 2013, the project was fully funded with $2,344,134, making it one of the most successful Kickstarter projects. It had 26,457 backers. 3Doodler was founded by Maxwell Mogue, Peter Dilworth, and Daniel Cowen.

The 3Doodler pen is currently available online at www.the3doodler.com and comes with 50 strands of either PLA or ABS plastic strands. On their site, you can also buy filament strands. The filament is available in many different colors, including Glow in the Dark, Robo Silver, Tuxedo Black, and Martian Red. You can also buy mixed color packs. The filament comes in packages of 25 strands; each strand is 10 inches long.

On 3Doodler's website, you can explore the forum, watch how-to videos, and download stencils.
