Bill Masters is an inventor from Greenville, South Carolina who holds the patents to the first 3D printers. Masters' concept was based on the "spitball" analogy, which is the most commonly used method to build objects in modern 3D printers. In an interview with FOX Carolina, Masters said "You stand on a balcony and you throw a spitball down and it sticks. You throw another one and another one, and you start sticking and sticking.
