3D printed prosthetics are an alternative to traditional prosthetics (artificial body parts), which are laborious and expensive to build. 3D printed prosthetics can be built quickly, are less expensive, and fit the patient more accurately.
To create 3D printed prosthetics, the body is digitally scanned to measure and fit the patient, circumventing the need for uncomfortable impressions. Body parts can be scanned from other people or replicated from the patient's existing body, replicating similar body parts. Prosthetics can be printed in full color and are built with medical grade silicone, titanium, and other materials providing durable flexibility.
