ReplicatorG is open source interfacing software that can be used for MakerBot 3D printers, RepRap 3D printers, and CNC machines. ReplicatorG allows you to move, scale, and rotate the digital model. ReplicatorG works on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
How ReplicatorG WorksFirst, the user creates a 3D model in a 3D modeling program and saves it as an STL file. The STL file is then sent to ReplicatorG. The user can adjust the model by moving it, scaling it, and rotating it for optimal printing. ReplicatorG then creates G-code by slicing the digital model into sections and determining how the layers will be printed. The digital model is then sent to the 3D printer where it will be printed layer by layer until the part is complete.
